Brazil's Supreme Court ordered Elon Musk-owned X not to circumvent a previous ruling suspending the social media platform in the country, at risk of a daily fine of 5 million reais ($921,726.95), according to a decision issued late on Wednesday.

Brazil’s Supreme Court blocked the platform after Elon Musk failed to comply with court rulings. As X evades the ban and Musk’s companies work slowly toward a resolution, the real concern for many isn’t just the absence of social media.

Lawmakers in Brazil will now fine X after the social network site went back on line in the country despite an ongoing ban.
