New England Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo was noncommittal over whether Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett will start in Week 4.

Patriots rookie Drake Maye is ready to go if he's named the starting quarterback, saying he's already "been preparing like I'm the starter."

With the New England Patriots trailing badly against the New York Jets, Maye entered the game in relief of a battered Jacoby Brissett. Brissett had a rough night at the helm of the Patriots offense, getting sacked five times and hit 10 times. The Patriots trailed 24-3 with 4:24 remaining when Maye entered the game.
