Police are investigating after a man was found dead in Kansas City, Missouri late Saturday night. According to the Kansas City Police Department, just before 10:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 10500 block of East 42nd Street on reports of a dead body.

Kansas City police are investigating a double homicide. The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Maple Boulevard just after 7 p.m. Officers arrived at the scene following a report of gunfire and discovered two victims. Authorities have not released any information regarding suspects at this time.

A police chase in Independence ended in a three-car crash on Interstate 70 Wednesday night. Independence police said they were sent to the sound of gunshots near 45th and Grace Avenue around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Police responded to Maple Boulevard, near Maple Park, around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to a KCPD spokesperson. Two men were pronounced dead on the scene with gunshot wounds.
