Trial date set for husband charged in Reston double murder case
The trial date has been set for a man who was charged for his alleged involvement in killing his wife and another man in their Reston home when the couple’s au pair was previously charged. The Fairfax County Police Department arrested Brendan Banfield on Monday.

The Fairfax County police chief and commonwealth’s attorney said a man whose wife was one of two people who died after a stabbing and shooting at the couple’s home in 2023 will face charges. Police Chief Kevin Davis joined Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano Monday to announce the indictment
